HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!
Have you given thanks to your Higher Power today?
I thank God:
- for being able to live long enough to see 2014
- for showing me how spiritually strong I am
- for continuing to shore me up when I am weak
- for keeping this old body in good health
- for sending many anglels in disguise to guide me
- for not abandoning me
2013
is behind us and everything that happened to us that hurt should be
left there. We should take only the good and positive into 2014.
Sometimes it is hard to let go of negative events, but we have to if we
expect to move on with our lives. In many instances, those who have hurt
us, in however they did it, are feeling NOTHING, but we still carry in
us what they did, so guess who is "messed up?" It sure isn't them. They
have done their damage and moved on, not caring one wit about the
carnage they left behind them. We have to let go of their foolishness
and not carry into our new year. It may not be easy, but it should be
done.
Do you have any sandpaper people in your life who are
moving with you into 2014? I still have some. The question is how we are
going to handle them so that their persistent negative way of doing
things doesn't make us be what they should not be. Saying that we are
going to drop them may not be that easy, so it is time to consider
positive defense mechanisms...and, for me, staying in constant prayer.
This
is a moment of new beginnings and the possibility of beautiful pipe
dreams coming true. New doors of growth will open and new opportunities
to actuate your dreams will come to life. Your positive attitude will
bring so much into your universe. We must remember to be grateful. No
matter what happens, we must be grateful for every little blessing.
"If
a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when
that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the
face gets uglier and uglier until it gets so ugly you can hardly bear to
look at it. A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can
have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out
teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face
like sunbeams and you will always look lovely". ~Roald Dahl
I am not sure what the theme of this blog will be. I am redefining me. I was Mrs. Sampson; now I am Mrs. Jones. Despite all those titles, I am and always will be Annell Ann Lovend Bernadette Hutchinson, daughter of Warren and Vivian Hutchinson, the sister of Warren, Jr. (deceased), Victor, and Robin.

God given words that have guided my life -
"When you have come to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. You will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
