Gratefulness

I thank God:
- that I have a man who loves me
- for the beautiful snow fall
- for having a warm home
- for eye drops that keep my eye from getting dry
- for not abandoning me

I know the snow has been one pain in the booty for many people.  Nonetheless, there is still a moment to take in the beauty of it.  It also will help with the drought that much of the country has been in for a year at this point.  The children will have fun sledding, others will have fun skiing, some will have wonderful walks and some will just drink hot chocolate and enjoy the view.  I was thinking about taking a walk in it tomorrow, but the temperatures here are plummeting.  I really don't want to be that cold.

I hope all of you are navigating safely through this weather.  For those of you who have to go to work in the mess, I hope that you take a moment to see the beauty amid the mess.  I hope you catch a smile or a hello.  I hope you enjoy that body warming java with others and that all of you take a moment to share joy with each other.  Remember this is a new year, and, yes, it is messy, but there are still many, many blessings that we are all receiving.  Please pray for those who are less fortunate that they find a warm meal and a warm, safe place to stay during this time.  For many of us the bitter, cold weather is on the tail of this storm.  Predictions for the areas in and around Chi-Town for Monday are 8 below zero.  I am shivering just think about it.....

Remember to be good to yourselves....

God given words that have guided my life -

"When you have come to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. You will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
