Today I read an article about stress. This is one of my greatest
challenges. I try to read "Girlfriends in God" everyday. Yesterday's
message was about stress. Below is a quote that appeared in that
message:
"Stress management is a spiritual discipline that begins
with diligent preparation in every area of life – mental, emotional,
physical and spiritual. We must be ready to deal with stress before we
are required to deal with stress. Dealing with stress is an ongoing,
daily battle that will not end - this side of Heaven. In order to win
that battle, we must be prepared. While there is no single secret to
handling stress, God’s Word is filled with many truths that can enable
and empower us to deal with stress in a healthy, productive and
God-honoring way."
Walking and looking at trees in all their many forms calms me and minimizes my stress.
Have you taken an opportunity to give thanks to your Higher Power today?
I thank God:
- for the Bible
- for waking to a wonderful day
- for a little sister who love her big sister
- for being able to find God in my worse situations
- for not abandoning me
Don't
forget to take a moment to look around you and acknowledge your
blessings. Overlook nothing, no matter how small it is. Every blessing
is a miracle happening in your life. They are reminders that you are
not alone. You are being watched and cared for in even your worse moments.
"You cannot control the results, only your actions." ~ Allan Lokos
I am not sure what the theme of this blog will be. I am redefining me. I was Mrs. Sampson; now I am Mrs. Jones. Despite all those titles, I am and always will be Annell Ann Lovend Bernadette Hutchinson, daughter of Warren and Vivian Hutchinson, the sister of Warren, Jr. (deceased), Victor, and Robin.

God given words that have guided my life -
"When you have come to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. You will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
