This is a wonderful morning. It is cloudy and it might rain, but it is still a wonderful day. My youngest daughter awoke me early this morning (well early for me - 7:00) to talk to her mama. Let me REWRITE; she wanted to talk to her mama. She didn't really want me to say much; she just wanted to talk to her mama, so I let her talk. My mama has passed on and sometimes.... I just want to talk to my mama. That is why I let my daughters just talk to me and do more listening than speaking. One day I won't be here any longer, and they will want to talk to their mama, so I let them talk as much as they want, to speak to their mama for the time that I am here and present in their lives. That is what my mama did with me and while I miss her very much, I treasure those moments when she and I talked into the wee hours of the morning. Beautiful memories.....

Have you taken a moment to give thanks to your Higher Power this morning?

I thank God:
- for wonderful mornings alive with blessings
- for uplifting songs by Jill Scott
- for allowing spaces between moments when I feel exquisitely aware of myself within myself
- for having wonderful and loving parents
- for not abandoning me

I hope your weekend is already going well. Be grateful for all the blessings that you have and will receive. There are no small ones, fore each one leads to another. Don't discount what you automatically take for granted. What many call small blessings lay the path for what many term as big blessings. That makes being thankful for little blessings very important.

"May we be strengthened with the understanding that being blessed does not mean that we shall always be spared all the disappointments and difficulties of life."
Heber J. Grant

Namaste...

God given words that have guided my life -

"When you have come to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. You will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
Edward Teller
