Gratitude

I thank God:
- for a good night's rest
- for a sunshiny morning
- for my lungs working overtime to keep me breathing
- for the yeoman's work that my body is doing right now
- for not abandoning me

Today is Tuesday; how are things going so far?  I hope you can at least say "reasonably well," if not, just take a moment to smile and relax.  It is trite to say "things could be worse," but it is true, they can be.  On many levels, they can; "worse" is a relative term. What some find easy to manage, on that same occurrence, many may fall apart.
It is easy to say, "Let go and let God," but when a person feels they are at their wits end, they don't want to hear anything about God, the universe or anything else.  They want a miracle to make things right again. I know this feeling well. I have been there more than once.

So this is what I ask of you and of myself. When the angst of the world attacks you, and you can't see any way to comfort, a solution, or a miracle of any kind....if at all possible try to step back from your fear.  Close your eyes and take as many deep breaths as you can to calm yourself.  At that point, I hope the "real reality" will set in, and you will be able to find that for which you seek, to handle the terror going on in your life.

"You can't relate to a superhero, to a superman, but you can identify with a real man who in times of crisis draws forth some extraordinary quality from within himself and triumphs but only after a struggle." ~ Timothy Dalton
(This quote used "man" and "himself," but "woman" and "herself" would be just as true.)

Namaste

God given words that have guided my life -

"When you have come to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. You will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
Edward Teller
