Good Evening, Everyone, I hope your day was filled with many, many
blessings. If you don't think you received any, think again....you are
reading this post.
At the conclusion of the Mass in which I got ashes
today, the lady standing next to me in our pew made a point of coming
close to me smiling to wish me a good day. I reached out, hugged her,
and told her, "Have a blessed and beautiful week , Sister." I was
blessed because she enabled me to wish her a blessing. My only regret
was in not saying "My Sister" because that is what she is for me under
God. Next time, there will be no hesitation. As I walk my path, I
understand more and more what I am to others and others are to me. In
the past, I would NEVER have called anyone my sister, but my blood
sister or my brother, but my blood brother.
I love going to my
bible study class. Every time we meet, I gain new insight in my walk
with God. The bottom line of our discussion today was gaining a box of
tools that help us handle life's ups and downs. We get these tools from
the lessons we learn along life's way.
Sometimes our tool boxes
contain tools that may not help us such as anger, jealousy, venomous
attitudes, stinginess, etc. On the other hand, many of us have tools of
compassion, good will, patience, mercy, etc. In some instances we have a
tool box with both sets of tools. Some that serve us and God's will
and some that hinder us and are not particularly liked by God.
I
have resolved to list the tools in my box with as much honesty as I
can. Both good and bad, I want to know what I carry with me into every
situation in which I find myself. In so doing, I hope that I will
depend on the ones I need to maintain a positive, peaceful attitude in
all situations and throw out the ones that will only bring negative
vibrations in my life.
By the way, we didn't ask for a tool box. Life gave it to us.
Have you taken a moment to give thanks to your Higher Power today?
I thank God:

- for my wonderful sisters in God that I have met on DC
- for not forgetting about me

[I couldn't make up my mind, so I posted both :-)]
I am not sure what the theme of this blog will be. I am redefining me. I was Mrs. Sampson; now I am Mrs. Jones. Despite all those titles, I am and always will be Annell Ann Lovend Bernadette Hutchinson, daughter of Warren and Vivian Hutchinson, the sister of Warren, Jr. (deceased), Victor, and Robin.

God given words that have guided my life -
"When you have come to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. You will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
