Well, today is the first day of a new work week, and I hope you accomplish all the goals you have given yourselves. Try to see this week and every week as a new opportunity to be happy, to think positive and put as many good vibrations into the universe as you can. Last week and yesterday are gone and will never be experienced again. Whatever happened, happened, be it good or be it bad.

Today is here and now, and whatever blessings it brings should not be tainted by anything that happened yesterday, last week, last month, or last year. Make this a wonderful day despite what happens. Give thanks for every blessing that your receive, no matter how tiny. At the conclusion of this day, dwell not on your worries and woes, but on all the wonderful things that happened. Give yourself well deserved pats on the back and kudos for all the times you took the "high road" when the "low road" would have been easier. That may not be easy, but it must be done; YOU are your best cheerleader.

Remember to take a few minutes to give thanks to the universe for, at least, one of your numerous blessings, today. Whether you choose to acknowledge it or not, you were blessed the moment you opened your eyes this morning.

I thank God
- for strength and patience with myself
- money to buy food
- for answering unasked for blessings
- for this beautiful day
- for the man that told me I was gorgeous Saturday
- for the young Walmart employee who passed by me and with a smile said "Hello" and smiled when I responded in kind
- the young check out person at Sam's Club who was friendly to me as he rang up my purchases.

Be thankful to people who make you smile; they are blessings, too.

"Life's events don't produce stress -- the thoughts that run through your mind do. Change your thoughts and how you react to events, and stress will disappear."

God given words that have guided my life -

"When you have come to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen. You will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
Edward Teller
